Although WEC GM Reed Harris says it's too early to determine what's next for new bantamweight champ Dominick Cruz, but both the champ himself and fellow WEC 47 winner Joseph Benavidez know what they want: a rematch of their August 2009 fight.
"I'd love to go in there and avenge my only loss," said Benavidez, who won his bout with Miguel Torres via second-round guillotine choke. "It was a tough fight with Dominick. I think it is a great fight for the fans. We put on a really good show. We could have both gone two more rounds. It was a three-round fight. I'd love to do that, of course."
Cruz has no problem with that. "I fought him already, and I'm down to fight him again," he said. "I mean, I'll fight whoever the WEC puts in front of me. If you're a real champion, [you] never pick [your] fights."
