On The Division Being Stacked: "There's so much talent at 145 pounds in the WEC. Winning this fight is very important to me because I want to move forward. One loss will set you right back in the thick of things. All these guys are hungry. They're trying to get there. I think the winner of this fight will definitely be in the mix with some of those top contenders."
On His Opponent: "I think [Taurosevicius] is really well-rounded," Davis said. "I think he's a solid fighter everywhere. He's good on the ground. He's good standing. He keeps a fast pace. He looks to be very strong and physical. I think a way to exploit him is just to be a well-rounded mixed martial artist. I've just got to mix it up a lot. I've got to keep him guessing. I don't want to just come at him with one thing. I've got to come at him with wrestling, with striking, with grappling, with everything. I've got to keep him guessing, and I think that's going to be the key to me winning."
On Finishing Guys: "I'm trying to finish guys," Davis said. "I just think the level of competition is rising, and the guys are getting so good that it's harder to finish guys. I go out and I try to finish. I try to be exciting. I'm never going to try and lay and pray and squeak out a decision, but I take them how they come. If I can get a decision victory, I'm happy with it. I just think guys are better and more well-rounded now. It's just going to be harder to finish guys."
On His Training: "My last two fights, I've been coming [to Las Vegas] and doing a little cross-training with Xtreme Couture," Davis said. "I'm good firiends with Jay Hieron and Gray Maynard, and I've worked out with them a little bit. I really like the boxing training I'm getting from Gil Martinez. I just like to come out here and do a couple of weeks before my fight – mix it up."
