Dana White Talks Conor McGregor & more!
Dana White recently spoke to UFC.com about the contenders in the UFC Featherweight Division. Here is what he had to say… “Especially with all the excitement in that division with Conor McGregor, Cub Swanson and Frankie Edgar – that division is so exciting that people are talking about freaking Nik Lentz and Dennis Bermudez. I told Cub and Frankie, ‘Don’t worry about anything you hear with all the Conor McGregor talk and all the other stuff. You worry about Cub Swanson and you worry about Frankie Edgar.’ Believe me, the fact that people are arguing over who should get a title shot in the 145-pound division isn’t a bad thing. It’s a good thing.”

Alberto El Patron spoke with the Roman Show for a new interview. Check out the highlights:

On fighting again: “Since I left WWE everyone has been trying to get me in their organization to fight again. But the money is just not there. Luckily I do pretty well in wrestling. I am one of the most paid pro wrestlers out there. If the money is not there then there’s no reason for me to go back in there, fight, and hurt my body.”

On getting the play-by-play gig for Combate Americas: “My good friend Campbell McLaren has been trying to get me to join the organization since I left the WWE, since the beginning he’s been trying to convince me to get in the ring or cage and fight again,” he said. “Unfortunately we couldn’t get a good deal talking about money wise. We found this way being part of the organization without fighting. He invited me as an announcer.”

On the death of El Hijo Del Perro Aguayo: “It’s difficult to accept when someone like him goes before his time especially for us in the business. We all know what risks we have when we go out there. If you do something wrong or if the other guy does something. All we can do is learn from that mistake. The originations in Mexico need to change the way they treat the wrestlers, the way they treat the sport. We live in a different situation down there. It’s just a few guys like myself and Rey Mysterio that get treated the way we deserve…they don’t do the same with the other wrestlers. It’s about to change.”
