MMAjunkie recently spoke with UFC lightweight fighter Edson Barboza who looks to get back on track as he faces Lucas Martins at UFC on FX 7.
Regarding his plans to change his style for his fight with Martins: "Now, I'm just going to go in fast and hard. I'm done with feeling-out periods."
How he's learned from his loss to Jamie Varner: "I've learned from that loss like never before. He hit his target and deserved the win. That's it. My main lesson is that I can't relax or be distracted for a single second."
Barboza's thoughts on Martins: "We've studied him well, me and my trainer. I looked up fights, interviews, information about training facilities, training partners – anything. Then we put together our strategy. Gladly, even though he hasn't fought in America, we found a lot of his videos online...It's an MMA fight. I don't know how it's going to go down. I'll fight wherever the fight goes."
