Undefeated light-heavyweight Jimi Manuwa (11-0 MMA, 0-0 UFC) has signed a multi-fight deal with the UFC, beginning at UFC on FUEL TV 5.
The exact terms of the deal were not revealed. UFC on FUEL TV takes place on September 29 at the Capital FM Arena in Nottingham, England. The main card airs live on FUEL TV (Saturday afternoon in the US) with preliminary bouts on Facebook. It's unknown where Manuwa will be.
He started his career in 2008 with only three weeks of training. He has had eleven wins via stoppage (with nine in the first round) in eleven fights. All but one of his wins have been via knockout/TKO. He is the current reigning UCMMA 205-pound champion and most recently defeated Anthony Rea via TKO at BAMMA 8 in December.
Manuwa previously said that he turned down a UFC contract due to a lack of experience and injures.
