Rodrigo Damm recently spoke with mmajunkie.com about suffereing kidney damage cutting weight for a bout with now-finalist Godofredo "Pepey" de Oliveira during TUF: Brazil. Hereis what he had to say…
On Winning TUF: Brazil: "I believe I would have won (the show). I was supposed to face 'Pepey.' It would have been a favorable fight for me. He is good on the ground, but he isn't a striker."
On Fighting Anistavio "Gasparzinho" Medeiros at UFC 147: "The UFC made that decision," he said. "I didn't ask to fight him. There was no reason for us to fight since he lost his last fight (in the house) and I didn't lose any of mine. But now he's my opponent, and it's a good fight for me. It's interesting. Plus we had our differences in the house. It's a good fight for me."
On The Fight: "My career led up to this," he said. "Now I have a chance to get a contract with the largest promotion in the world. It can change my life and that of my family."
