UFC on FX 3's Mike Pierce – who will be facing Carlos Eduardo Rocha - spoke with MMAJunkie about his unexpected loss in February to Josh Koscheck and a subtle remark at Thiago Alves. Here are some highlights:
His subtle jab at Alves, in regards to his weight-cutting problems: "I've actually been looking for Thiago Alves. I hit up all the fast-food joints in the area. I know he lives in town, and I haven't been able to find him. If you have any leads, let me know."
About his unexpected loss to Josh Koscheck: "I think everybody still thinks about that and wonders why he got his hand raised. It's pretty annoying. I thought I won that fight. It was a big shock to me when he got his name called. I thought I won at least two out of the three rounds. I thought it was going to be 29-28 unanimous for me. When they called out the split, I was like, 'Here we go.'"
"It just pisses me off and fuels me to do even better the next time around. It kind of motivates me. I don't dwell on it to the point where it becomes a hindrance. … I just think about the fights and that I've got to get back in that picture again."
