Conor McGregor, who will be taking on Dave Hill at Cage Warriors 47, spoke with MMAJunkie about his upcoming opponent and how seriously he took his training. Here are some highlights:
About his upcoming opponent Dave Hill: "Dave's a solid guy. He's been in there with some tough guys. He's never been stopped. I'm the No. 1 in Europe, but supposedly, he fought the No. 1 in Europe, and he lost that fight but he couldn't be finished. Blah, blah, blah, so let's see."
About how cutting weight affects his mood: "To be honest, cutting this weight with very few meals, sometimes I just get angry. I'm more calm than this. But when I have no meals...talk to me Friday after weigh-in, I'll be happy as Larry, but right now, I'm ready to hurt this guy, and I mean that."
About training harder than any other fight in his career: "There's no messing about here. I've been putting in serious training here. More rounds, more miles. Everything is upped a notch. This is five rounds, but I feel like I'm ready to go 55 rounds. Let's see if he can give me five rounds. I don't think he's getting out of the first round. But we'll see."
