Brian Stann – a UFC middleweight contender – is leading a special nonprofit organization called Hire Heroes USA, and for every share the Call of Duty Endowment Facebook Fan Page gets, a dollar will be donated to the organization.
Stann noted in a press release: "The contributions and awareness raised over the past two years through this campaign have assisted us tremendously, contributing to the sustained employment of more than 400 veterans and their spouses."
Hire Heroes USA was founded by Stann in 2007, with the purpose to provide veterans transition, job-search assistance and placement services.
Stann works full time for Hire Heroes USA and does not take a salary.
Retired Marine Alan Baldwin, who serves on Call of Duty's advisory council, says, "Our youngest military veterans face a disproportionately higher rate of unemployment, and Hire Heroes USA has shown proven results in meeting its mission to reduce the staggering employment realities facing those in the Armed Forces returning to civilian life. We hope to beat last year's numbers and reach at least 50,000 image shares on Facebook."
