Darren Elkins recently spoke with MMAJunkie about his fight with Diego Brandao at UFC 146, balancing his fighting with his day job and more. Check out the highlights:

On juggling his work as a steamfitter and an MMA fighter: "Whenever I get a chance, I go back to pipe fitting, and then I go back to being a full-time fighter."

On enjoying his two jobs: "You get ahead of yourself and you get too much confidence, and sometimes you get knocked down. Hopefully, the streak just keeps going."

On Brandao: "He fights with a lot of emotion. He throws that overhand right with bad intentions, and he has good submissions. He's really putting together a streak. But he's lost seven fights, so he's obviously beatable."
