Strikeforce: HW Grand Prix Gate & Attendance

The California State Athletic Commission has confirmed that the Strikeforce: Heavyweight Grand Prix Final drew 5,413 attendees for a $226,005 live gate. Out of the 5,413 attendees, 2,609 (48%) received complimentary admission. The most recent event at the venue, "Strikeforce: Diaz vs. Cyborg," drew 9,059 attendees for a $533,215 gate in early 2011.

Many feel that the gate was hurt by news that the UFC also will host an event at HP Pavilion on July 11 with UFC on FUEL TV 4.
